"Welcome to the Kingdom of my dreams. I'm going to tell you a story, the story of stories. Somewhere beyond the sky and earth, where time seems infinite, dreams never end."
"The story of a path that traces the thread of history, and your story reveals you. It reveals the person you are. My story is the thread that weaves my art." Dreams never die.”
Beyond the main ballets I reference in this painting, it is an entire visual system ranging from the major work in painting to the video presentation for illuminating the canvas, all the way to the portrait photo.
The universe of my painting "The Thread of Tales" is filled with icono-plastic elements that are linked together by a thread like clues sown to give a dreamlike vision to the pictorial meaning of the canvas. We are in the realm of fantasy where reality meets fiction and mystery; dream or reality, a divine light emerges from the depths of the woods and illuminates the path, the artist's path.
In my pictorial staging, the treatment of details, to which I attach myself like a miniaturist or a jeweler, and the composition of the elements and their graphic directions, work together to bring out the main figure. It is a painting of composition, of reflection, where each element is carefully chosen. It is a choreographed painting. Like a ballet, I then take on the role of choreographer, conductor, ballet master, and the painter that I am above all.
Immersed in a dream, the main subject is magnified by the work of the stage costume. The subdued and muted lighting, using layers of glaze and sfumato, light and translucent, gives a form of mystery to the canvas. A romantic, poetic mystery that I love to reveal and transports us to the kingdom of heaven. A star shines in the sky and on earth. The star of stars.
The lighting video for "The Thread of Tales" is conceived in two acts: Act 1: The Quest for the Path and Act 2: The Celebration, the culmination.
The video presentation of my painting "The Thread of Tales" is a form of orchestration of the work, a choreographed staging of dance and music. It is a moment of celebration, of celebration. I bring the work to life in a moment of transcendence and magic, where I tell a story. I become one with the work, I become one with the story, and the work is my mirror.
Between celebration, tragedy, and theatricality, the story is woven, delivered, and freed, and the story goes beyond history to reveal a fairyland. The show reclaims its rights in a boundless, free infinity.
