I wrote a haiku inspired by this work:
Small, the octopus,
Harmless to a woman strong,
Cheerful is my eve.
This work reflects on the relationships between living beings, the paths of evolution, and the places different species occupy in nature. At its center, a woman and an octopus meet in an unexpected moment of calm, replacing the familiar narrative of predator and prey with one of curiosity and coexistence. The octopus, one of nature's most intelligent creatures, becomes a symbol of an alternative form of consciousness. Its many arms surround rather than threaten, suggesting communication instead of conflict. The work invites viewers to reconsider the roles humans assign to other species and to question whether those roles arise from nature itself or from human perception.
