In the context of the installation and performance "The Black Water" in the form of a runway, this work critically reflects on its genre as painting, as well as on the generally rigid categorization within the visual arts. By integrating a painting into the performance, the image leaves its traditional pictorial space and becomes distorted - reflected in the black water and the „Avantgarde Mask“ worn by the models on the runway. It presents a sarcastic view of art, suggesting that high fashion sometimes fails to acknowledge artistic ambition. The work aims to draw attention to the overlaps between different art forms and to free painting from its often rigid framework.
