Lando Klemann (*2001, Itzehoe) is a German visual artist living and working in Hamburg. He is currently studying Fine Arts at Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design, where he began in the foundation class of Prof. Axel Loytved and now studies painting under Prof. Ellen Gronemeyer.
Working primarily with painting, Lando's practice also encompasses installation, textile-based works, and self-produced garments that are activated through runway presentations within exhibition contexts. His work often unfolds in larger conceptual frameworks and has been presented in several solo exhibitions. He got nominated as a Finalist for Prisma Art prize in 2026, and is now pre- selected for The Hopperprize (both international).
Drawing on the intersection of haute couture and contemporary art, he explores themes of beauty, identity, visibility, and staging, using subtle irony to reveal underlying structures and states rather than offering fixed conclusions.
