“Stand Beside Me” — Diptych

“Stand Beside Me” is a contemporary diptych inspired by the ancient Greek poetry of Sappho. It takes the form of a quiet prayer to the divine — an invocation for its presence in human life.

A woman gazes upward, while a Greek inscription within a circle echoes her unspoken appeal. Across both panels, flowing forms connect the visible world with an unseen presence, leaving space for the viewer’s own sense of longing, faith and love.

Mixed media on linen canvas: oil paint, sand texture, texturing paste and wax.
