The painting belongs to the Sine Waves series, in which acoustic vibrations are directly transferred onto canvas. Instead of a brush, sound waves set the surface in motion, while a pigment-soaked foam element leaves abstract traces that oscillate between rhythm and geometry. This particular work was created live during a solo exhibition in Vienna in 2024, emphasizing the performative dimension of the process: the audience could witness sound becoming visible in real time. The result is a layered composition of vibrant frequencies, where chance and control intersect. As part of the broader project Making Sound Visible, the Sine Waves series explores how sound can transcend its ephemeral nature and find material form in painting.
