We have long kept animals close—as livestock and companions.
Meanwhile, wildlife has gradually disappeared from our everyday lives.
Even in a landscape shaped by development, the rhino family keeps moving forward. The calf struggles not to lose its mother.
Through this painting, I wanted to bring those lives back to us.
We choose which lives to keep close.
