The RED MATCHES RED collage is a three-dimensional, abstract composition in intense shades of red against a black background. Numerous pieces of furniture such as sofas, armchairs, chairs and typographic fragments have been layered on top of each other and condensed into a compact, almost heart-shaped overall form. The monochrome colour scheme enhances the sculptural effect and draws attention to form, structure and materiality. Soft, upholstered surfaces contrast with angular, geometric elements. The overlapping and interlocking elements create an impression of movement and spatial depth.
