"Vàr" is part of a polyptych called "Arkvàr Lumo". "Arkvàr Lumo" is a journey of rediscovered light.
It is a reflection on life that presents dark and difficult moments. "Vàr" is the gateway that allows you to get out of these situations. The beam of light that enters through a small crack finds its place and swallows the darkness. This reflects both on our personal struggles, but also on our collective ones. The war in Ukraine is a dark and bloody story, in which there seems to be no way out. But there is always a gleam of light, and it is given by the vital fire that every person who fights in my country today carries within.
Even when it seems that the body is immovable, we can find the strength to lift it. There is a very powerful part in each of us which is the will, capable of moving mountains. Painting gives me the chance to tell stories in an evocative way. Not to speak rationally, but transmitting sensations.
