The scene with cows is real. In one of our trips, we encountered many cows at the foot of a mountain. And there are also cows on the cover of one of our favorite albums. This is also influenced by Andy Warhol's Cow Wallpaper. I wanted the image to be as simple and minimalist as possible.
With the white void, I want to create doubt, so to speak. I didn't paint an open fence or a broken fence. By doing so, I want to make people guess whether the man crossed the fence or not. But if I had painted an open fence or a broken fence, it would have been obvious and therefore boring. Because almost everyone can naturally imagine such a scene. So this emptiness will create tension. But actually the view from the man is in a straight line with these "gates", that is, he finally steps over the fence.
The gates are from an abandoned amusement park my friend and I found on a trip. It was located deep in the forest. The park seems a little abandoned and lonely, just like the lost days of our long ago childhood. It reminds me of the first day we started painting. We were very small then, too. Sometimes painting is also a game. But now many works lack exactly the purity and authenticity, while painting is driven by practicality, which we do not like so much. This exhibition is also my final exhibition. The reason why I painted these doors is because I want to express my personal view of painting. I.e. I just want to paint something real, something I see and feel. Of course, I also have abstract versions of "doors" because I didn't want to limit myself to one style. After all, I'm still young, I want to experiment more.
