Collection Presentation
Collage is an artistic technique that consists of assembling different elements into a unified composition. In my work, I use collage as a way of advocating for recycling and giving everyday materials a new life. I work with plastics, recycled fabrics, beads, feathers, and any objects that come into my hands, transforming them into essential elements of each artwork. Every piece is the result of a process of reuse in which discarded materials acquire a new aesthetic and conceptual meaning.
This collection is developed within the Neo Pop Art style, a movement that reinterprets contemporary visual culture through bold colors, strong contrasts, and familiar everyday elements. Color plays a fundamental role in my work, as I use it to influence the viewer’s emotional state and transmit energy. Color psychology shows that each hue communicates different emotions and can generate both emotional and physical responses, becoming a visual language that creates a direct connection with the audience.
The collection is divided into two series: Nature and Anonymous Portraits.
In the Nature series, I do not seek to faithfully reproduce landscapes. Instead, I interpret reality through my subconscious. My interest lies in expressing the movement, vitality, and energy of plants through dynamic lines, layered textures, and recycled materials. Each artwork is a personal interpretation of the natural world, where recycling is not only part of the creative process but also a statement about sustainability and the transformative potential of discarded objects.
The second part of the collection consists of Anonymous Portraits. During the Renaissance, portraiture represented far more than a person’s physical appearance; it was a symbol of identity, power, and humanism, placing the individual at the center of artistic creation. In contrast, my portraits are not intended to resemble any specific person. Their purpose is to connect with the viewer through the expressive power of color, shape, and composition.
Anonymity removes all personal references, transforming each face into a universal symbol. Without a defined identity, viewers can more easily project themselves into the artwork, creating an intimate and personal connection. In this way, they cease to be passive observers and become active participants, completing the meaning of each piece through their own experiences and emotions.
Ultimately, my work seeks to bring together art, recycling, and emotion. Each collage is an invitation to discover new possibilities in discarded materials and to experience how color, texture, and composition can create a direct dialogue between the artwork and its viewer.
