Title:"My Most Precious Brooch"
Description:
In this work, I used an old pair of my jeans, symbolically cut and arranged with both sides facing the viewer—as if we were examining the situation from the front and back. The painting’s title, My Most Precious Brooch reflects the deep personal significance of this journey.
A hand-printed 3D element, created by me, frames a piece of Baltic amber. Its neon colors contrast with the natural fossil, emphasizing the tension between tradition and modern transformation.
This piece represents the struggle for sexual identity and the absolute dedication to it. I am fascinated by the transformations that this path reveals in people who must first come to terms with their identity before they can fully engage in everyday activities such as work and daily life.
