“In nature, nothing exists alone,” said Rachel Carson, an American marine biologist, author, and environmentalist — a reflection that inspires this painting, created from pure and residual elements gathered along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea.
The sea offers both origin and warning. Natural sediments and synthetic fragments, once distant in purpose, now share the same landscape. By subjecting these materials to chemical reactions and fire, I allow them to transform, merge, and reveal a new visual language.
This transformation acts as a lens into a future where the boundaries between the natural and the artificial dissolve, revealing our current relationship with the ecosystem. Through art, a space opens to question how we coexist with nature, and to imagine a dialogue that, though often silenced, continues to pulse beneath the surface of matter.
