Over the past year, my research has focused on the subject of the magnolia, providing continuity to the artistic path I have been pursuing since 2014 around the themes of resilience, rebirth, and agency. In this flower, I have found the key to an increasingly essential and textural expression. Drawing—a fundamental element of my practice—outlines the sharp structure of the branches, which support blossoms that are simultaneously fleshy and ethereal. Standing out against backgrounds where chromatic fields give way to the silence of white, the images emerge like suspended apparitions, captured in the exact moment they come back to life
