Can we interactively share the image of our own existence with others? Are we capable to actively interacting with any social group? The answer may be found in my painting "Lo Specchio I_IV", (100x100 cm, canvas), which incorporates a built-in mirror. A path of mirror fragments runs across the painting. It introduces real-time reflections into the work, mapping the diversity of people in the immediate vicinity and highlighting the social dimension of life.
"Lo Specchio I_IV" explores the theme of interaction between the static image of the painting (the unreal world) and the mirror reflections of a constantly changing reality (the real world). Real-time reflections of viewer's faces enter the painting, momentarily becoming part of it. This creates a specific form of communication, unique to each reflection in the mirror. An infinite number of resulting forms of the artwork emerges, in which mirror reflections constantly shift and influence the painting's overall visual appearance. The resulting image forms and dissolves in vibrant colours, reshaping our habits, diversity, and social background. "Lo Specchio I_IV" as a portal, allowing us to transcend the boundaries of rationality and imagine other worlds. It represents a dynamic journey of colour, coupled with a new opportunity to re-examine our beliefs.
I invite you to explore the relationships between our own diversity and the potential for mutual understanding.
