Light in My Hands

Zero Field is an artistic concept developed by Shogo Shimiya that explores the state before form becomes fixed. Rather than presenting completed images, it sustains the moment in which perception is still emerging.

This work belongs to BRAGI, one of the five interconnected series within Zero Field, and is realized through Writing Field Painting. Words are treated not merely as carriers of meaning, but as visual presences. Poems and lyrics become part of the pictorial space, where language and image continuously intersect.

By crossing out handwritten lyrics, the work does not erase language but reveals another layer of perception. Meaning remains suspended between visibility and disappearance, inviting the viewer to experience the threshold where image, language, and existence are still in the process of becoming.
