FREIRE
CURRICULUM
Born in Lisbon in 1959
Professionally always linked to Education, as a kindergarten teacher, and later as a Higher Education teacher, she has always demonstrated a great sensitivity for the visual arts. As a self-taught artist, she began painting with some regularity since 2005, using and mixing different techniques.
Her painting is divided between aesthetic realism and a subjective interpretation of that same reality. The colors are strong, vibrant and cheerful.
“my painting is based on photorealism that I experience and interpret emotionally with my colors and brushes.
That look that captured me becomes part of me, I experience it and transfer it to paper or canvas.
It is an essentially human emotional sharing of my aesthetic vision of the world.”
In 2012 and 2013 she attended the ARCO painting course, adding new techniques and horizons to her work
