Goddesses
that inhabit us
Much of
my work over the years has depicted women of the world, of various ethnicities
and cultures, always luminous and powerful. Through them I try to interiorise,
analyse and transmit the feminine components of the human being.
These
women were and are also a process of healing and rebirth. It is in them that I
try to convey the importance of Love in Life and in the Universe. They are
beautiful and powerful, humble and proud, grateful and resilient, loving and
compassionate, warriors and dancers, wise and sorcerers. Through motherhood
they become the guardians of the family, thus continuing the life-giving power
of
the
women who came before them. Their gaze and posture penetrate our hearts, making
us more open and sensitive to the beauty and energy that surrounds us.
This
work explores the Goddesses that inhabit us in their many guises, which we sometimes
forget or ignore.
it's
also a way of sensitising and raising awareness for the feminine power that
lives in all of us.
In a
world where patriarchal power still reigns supreme, there is an urgent need for
the rebirth of the Goddesses who inhabit us all, in the search for a more just,
equitable and humane society.
Result
of the last four years of my work, with cheerful and emotive colours, where the
richness and detail of the patterns predominate.
My work
is based on a photorealism that I live and interpret emotionally with my
colours and brushes. That look that has captured me becomes part of me, I
experience it and pass it on to paper or canvas.
It's an
emotional and essentially human sharing of my aesthetic vision.
