Futuro anteriore I interrogates our use and abuse of multimedia devices and our dependence on them. Human estrangement, resulting from the absence of personal interaction, is exemplified by gazes that do not meet, but stare hypnotized at a device.
This work is part of the series Futuro anteriore I-IIII, in which I ironically invert the timeline to depict in four tableaux contemporary critical issues, referring to the archaic aesthetics of cave painting.
