There's a scene in my short film TROLLEY — grassland at night.
Like the ocean in Tarkovsky's Solaris, which has its own consciousness and intelligence, this grassland has intelligence too. It dreams.
I'm not painting to show what's inside my head.
The grassland, like the ocean, just hands me images on its own. I happen to be there when it does.
This painting also shows how we made TROLLEY, a short film built with AI.
It shows the prompts we used to bring the characters to life, and a figure's faint outline surfacing out of them.
By painting that AI process, I gave the prompt — the spell — a life of its own.
