Cosa resta di noi quando il tempo passa?
L’opera nasce da una riflessione sulle tracce che il tempo lascia dietro di sé. Le incisioni materiche emergono dalla superficie come fossili: frammenti di memoria, emozioni e momenti che sembravano perduti, ma che continuano a vivere sotto nuove forme.
Strato dopo strato, la materia diventa una sorta di archivio del tempo, capace di custodire ciò che il presente ha ormai trasformato. I segni affiorano come reperti di un passato che non scompare mai del tutto, ma rimane impresso dentro di noi.
Perché forse siamo anche questo: un insieme di tracce, sedimentate nel tempo, di tutto ciò che abbiamo vissuto.
What remains of us as time passes?
The artwork stems from a reflection on the traces that time leaves behind. The textured engravings emerge from the surface like fossils: fragments of memory, emotions, and moments that seemed lost, yet continue to live on in new forms.
Layer after layer, the material becomes a kind of archive of time, preserving what the present has already transformed. The marks surface like relics of a past that never entirely disappears, but remains imprinted within us.
Because perhaps this is also what we are: a collection of traces, sedimented over time, of everything we have lived through.
