In this work, layers of green, algae-like material spread across the surface like something damp and slowly expanding. The structure remains unstable, almost breathing and oscillating between growth and decay.
Bright orange areas erupt through the surface like zones of heat or irritation. They interrupt the green masses and create moments of tension within the painting’s organic body.
The work is interested in forms that resist containment: moisture, softness, instability, and transformation. From a feminist perspective, these material states challenge traditions of control, purity, and order.
Rather than presenting the body as fixed or clearly defined, the painting approaches it as something continuously shifting.
