Influenced by everything that crosses his path, SOLONOI (aka EM) is an alluring and experienced artist that manages to present a
stimulating coherence between his concrete layered canvas surfaces and the imagery and subjects that he portrays on canvas, murals and
by his thrilling LIVE ART performances...paying tribute to everyone and creating legacies set in stone is his driving force.
Vidmar’s art appeals to a global audience and he is starting to earn international acclaim via major art exhibits such as Art Basel, global art
sales and LIVE ART performances alike. In 2024, SOLONOI was hired to restore the famous BANKSY wall known as “GHETTO 4 LIFE”
which was moved from Brooklyn NY to Bridgeport Connecticut.
The beginning:
The creative journey began at a very young age when Em effortlessly drew cartoon characters and sketches of his grade school friends
which evolved into a diverse array of art forms over the years. He won an award in Senior Highschool for best print making which led him to
starting up his very own screen printing facility at the age of 18 which quickly became the largest screen printing factory in Montreal.
At 23 years of age he conquered his fear of computer graphics and a few decades later , his passion for digital textures morphed into his
new passion for creating physical textures on walls and inevitably incorporating these textures onto canvas.
Em celebrated his journey in 2025 with the creation of his timeless piece named “BOY ON A SWING” (the loss of innocence) The piece was
released at an exhibit in Montreal in March of 2025 and has since been portrayed on several outdoor murals all over the city painted by
