Being completely free from
any human consciousness or intention, and being a part of the nature or
universe, is the enabler for this work. Featuring
ancient character of “飛 (fly)” and transformed into the contemporary style under the theme of WATER. Drawing
each piece of line to let it have own emotion, using the specific brush with
very few goat hairs. Concept
is the beauty of “Yohaku (negative space)” created by the lines.
The idea came from the strong
belief on human creative capacity beyond the AI capability for simulation and
calculation. Drew each piece of line including
the effect ones, invoking supernatural powers.
NOTE: The artwork is demonstrated how to draw each line for “water” artwork with brush, and to present some
comments about the concept of “water”.
Sometimes people think the artworks were created by dropping ink in the
water, but it is not the case. I never
drop with ink, and always draw each piece of line by brush.
