Calligrapher/Artist
Was selected many times for the Yomiuri Shodo
Exhibition and Association, which is one of the most authoritative calligraphy
exhibitions in Japan, and for many other famous exhibitions such as the Kenshin
Shodo Exhibition. Has inherited traditional Japanese calligraphy, but his
expression has evolved to match with modern world. Produced many original
calligraphic works with a modern and original concept, the works are displayed
in many public and private spaces at home and abroad. Being active to create
new art genre, the new contemporary calligraphy art, to heighten the
calligraphy to be the same value with contemporary arts, has submitted artworks
to contemporary art exhibitions, also established art calligraphy group
association i.e. modern art calligraphy association and so son. Being a part of
daily life, owns atelier, “studio issai” in Meguro Tokyo, and provides lessons to
over 100+ students to promote the idea i.e. art is something to enrich life of
human beings. The school exhibition spans 13 years owns a high reputation as
fresh and avant-garde other than other calligraphy exhibitions.
