Echoes of Amber was inspired by a trip through some of the National Parks within Utah, USA. Connecting with nature is something very personal to each individual. I am personally drawn to the different shapes I see, the tonality of colours and the way light and shadow play throughout the landscapes I'm in. When it comes to representing them on the canvas, I like to use bold colour choices, whilst still making it relatable to the viewer.
This artwork transforms the rugged Utah terrain into a series of structured, angular forms, distilling the essence of the desert's orange and rust coloured tones. Through the interplay of sharp edges and gradients, this piece evokes the dynamic beauty of Utah's vas sweeping rock formations.
