Hi, I'm Charlotte Harron, and artist who loves colour, light, straightedge and design. My current work
explores the geometry of landscapes. I’m captivated by the ever-changing
patterns of lines, shapes, colours and hues influenced by shifting light
throughout the day and across seasons.
My current artistic focus involves deconstructing water, sky, and
landscapes to create impactful visual art. I am also exploring how I can apply
my style to floral subject matter. I aim to distill the intricate natural world
into relatable forms that convey energy and inspire a deeper connection with
our surroundings.
Born
and raised in in Hamilton, New Zealand, Charlotte Harron currently resides in Switzerland. Charlotte reconnected with her creative side
and was in a formal art mentorship program between 2019-2020 in Toronto,
Canada. At the end of 2020 she moved to the USA, followed by a recent
move in the summer of 2024 to Switzerland, and her most recent work has been
exploring her focus on geometric abstraction and its translation into
landscapes.
Her
work has been publicly shown in Canada, the UK, USA & Switzerland.
Charlotte’s work was judged ‘Best in Show’ in the 2021 & 2022, 27th
& 28th Annual Friends of the Yellow Barn Members Show by
independent jurors. She was a semi-finalist in the 2022 Bethesda Painting
Awards, and in 2023 received a highly commended for work in the WCCC Art Show
in Bethesda, Maryland. She is a finalist of the 2024 BMRE – Biennial Maryland
Regional Exhibition, on the University of Maryland Global Campus, USA.
