“Dream 1” — from the series Dreams
The series Dreams explores the encounter between depth — what lives below the threshold of consciousness — and the surface, which consciousness tries to hold. Dream 1 is the moment of this encounter when depth erupts as chaos.
The surface appears still — then, on approach, reveals a turbulence that was always present. What found no place in the light moved into shadow, and in shadow continued to grow.
This is chaos that frightens before it reveals that an order already lives within it.
