Diary Entries by Baaraan Ijlal are visual archives of the moon, the self and of the passing time. These entries mark the everyday, and the extraordinary, to make a note of a particular loss or act of resistance in a specific moment in the historic sequence of our time on this planet.
On such days the moon is attacked and left to die, but it reappears the next day. The diary page offers a space where the artist can register her protest. Each date mentioned on the page tells a story. The artist archives her resting, dancing and agitated body and the violence around it through these diary entries.
