Dantesque counterpoint.
This is a new series of paintings inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy. The essence of inspiration, however, is a palpable relativism at the moment when we ask ourselves whether the reality we are stuck in is already getting out of our hands and we start a journey into a world that is generally speaking: already alien to us. We do not control this world. The reality I am thinking about is an evident crisis of a civilization that stands on the brink. Maybe we stand on the edge of the Old and New Worlds? It's getting darker. More and more questions arise.
For years I have been fascinated by the "granular", atomic corpuscular structure of matter, which has a great coherence between the macro and the microcosm.
The image is composed based on non-Euclidean geometry, or rather natural geometry, the key to which is undoubtedly fractal geometry. This simple observation gives me a sense of freedom and the possibility of unlimited creativity in building a composition based on harmonized, complementary intuition and rationalism. The whole refers to recognizable landscapes and pieces of music with a specific formal structure or "verse" pieces (sic!).
The above description is only intended to sensitize the inquisitive that there is a hidden "music score" for these works for the author's use.
Next, you can delve into the unfettered, subjective view of the work without having to look for anything else because there is everything or nothing in it. And it all depends on our individual,
subjective readiness to look and to listen to which I sincerely encourage.
