When I walk on the street in Syracuse in winter, I discovered that the ground is full of cracks. It reminded me of a Chinese saying of " It takes more than one cold day for a river to freeze three feet deep". The formation of a large crack on the ground might be a really slow process, but the changing process is too slow that people cannot observe with bare eyes. However, one day when we look at it, the crack is already very large.
