My art is greatly influenced by Zhuangzi, an ancient Chinese Daoist philosopher who emphasized spiritual freedom. Living in wartime and witnessing countless atrocities, Zhuangzi suggested using alternative perspectives to see the world and avoid prejudice. Everything in the world is ever-changing and nothing is absolute and eternal. Similar to Zhuangzi, I live in Hong Kong, a city in turmoil. Art is my way to pursue freedom and heal my soul. More importantly, I believe my art has a responsibility to help other people in pursuing spiritual freedom as well. The goal of my art is to provide alternative angles to look at things, or raise thought-provoking questions.
