Black Hole Collection is a series of silk or paper scroll paintings created using traditional Gongbi technique, with hand-ground ink and mineral pigments. Each work is framed by a cultural inheritor who specializes in the conservation and mounting of ancient paintings. Drawing on theories from physics and philosophical speculation, each painting serves as a portal, and together they form an interlinked cosmology. The black holes elements in the paintings are intepreted potentially connected through wormholes, inviting the viewer into a nonlinear visual experience that traverses different possible worlds.This collection asks how we move between worlds, visually, cognitively, and historically. It treats the act of looking as traversal, where the viewer encounters both cultural memory and conceptual instability.
