Our world begins to be part of the “metaverse”. We choose digital worlds to escape from our reality, where we create parallel lives, which makes us forget who we truly are in real life.
What we observe through the screens seems to be more real than reality itself.
The human being has created artificial rhythms, consumerism, competitiveness, and productivity, buying and selling at a frenetic rhythm, which supposedly satisfy our needs in order to be “happy”
We are surrounded by noise, technology and screens. Asphalt and concrete look more natural than the soil of the land.
The overdose of information and data is connected to our bodies and minds creating artificial desires, and addictions on us implanted since we born in a society of productivity, helped by advertising, social media, and now the upcoming metaverse, acelerated after COVID-19 Era.
We live in automatic, in a circuit of schedules and clocks, following a goal that sometimes is not even our goal, fulfilling the expectations of others, surrounded by noise that distract us of ourselves, loosing the connection with the NOW, with our body, our heart, and nature.
We are trapped in front of screens believing that what we watch through them is more real than reality itself.
