The central theme of the project is the exploration of the concept of limit in the landscape. Limit intended as a border, end line or dividing line. The most used expressive language for the development of the various projects is the pictorial and photographic language. What do we mean by limit? A border that limits, or a threshold that opens? Conceptually, the limit constitutes an insurmountable barrier for man but at the same time it can have a threshold, passage, openness towards new horizons. Landscapes are nothing more than transpositions of places, inner landscapes, of the mind, suggestions of a place. It is a painting that can make you think about the meaning of moving in the environment, walking. A body in its movement constantly moves its inquiring gaze. A silent dialogue of tensions is constant, images that break up into nothing and gradually lose their boundary. There is always the possibility of probing space, defining perceptual possibilities. Profiles, horizons, sections of landscape, bright, blinding cuts. Bright, nocturnal and nebulous compositions. Large urban portions, fields of color and vivid pictorial materiality. The bodily aspect is present in the material and two-dimensional element. There are no explicit references to places, but infinite perceptions of distances, subtle shadows that gradually dissolve, lose their boundaries and become open and contemplative spaces with a silent and enigmatic aspect. Inside the painting, the monochromatic surface looks velvety thanks to the use of oil pastel.
