In color, I find emotion; in lines, I find direction.
“Aeroplane Chess” is inspired by the beloved childhood board game that brought color, imagination, and friendly competition into everyday life. Using the four signature colors of the game pieces—red, yellow, blue, and green—I translate the joyful chaos of play into flowing lines that crisscross the canvas like flight paths. These gestures echo the emotional freedom and pure excitement of childhood, where each throw of the dice felt like launching into the unknown. In this piece, color becomes memory, and line becomes motion—a celebration of the simplicity, unpredictability, and wonder of being young.
