"A Silent Companion"

I created this piece with the notion of visualizing a quiet partnership between humans and horses.

Working together in trust and guidance amongst one another as equals is the main idea behind this piece. The use of corrugated cardboard helps accentuate the rustic nature I'm used to seeing as someone who's lived in the south side of the U.S.

Layering between the rigid designs and creating a weathered effect helps reference how despite the modernization of Nashville, our roots still push through despite being surrounded by outsiders moving into the city. The composition is pleasing to the eye with this idea in mind upon how despite being vastly different species-- we still rely on each other in order to persevere.
