Auntie Margot

The project series "ANGEL/SOLDIER" is based on collective ephemera during World War 1 and Pivotal Year 1918. It is exploring questions of ―War or Peace? throughout history. Although not originally intended to be collected, ephemera is kept historic interest. It can be a trigger for nostalgic memories or provide important insights into past attitudes. The original photo was scanned from newspaper, letters and postcard. 

Auntie Margot is the third artwork on exploring feminity and uniform as a symbol. The reflection on remembering two opposite role action in a single identity between being a woman and soldier during the war.
