Vellum parchment traditionally prepared from the skin of an animal for the purpose of text and mark making; music and shelter creation. These Vellum lights have been created with goat and kangaroo skin. They are available raw, painted or plant dyed. In Australia goats increasingly thrive in the wild, claiming the resources of the endemic species. Honouring the true shape of each animal, not one Vellum is the same. Stitched by hand with linen thread, fitted with cloth covered chord, Edison fittings and brass components.
