The Inner Power - SUN

“The Inner Power” series is a continuation of my passion for combining two crafts: glassmaking and basketry. I enriched it with the symbolism of three resources that allow you to stay energized in the face of unexpected external changes. Inner grounding, surrendering to the current of life and nurturing your energy center are reflected in the earth's resources, which is why I chose the colors for them: solar, river and copper. When creating a series, I play with proportions, I let hot glass take on organic structural forms. 

SUN - light - inner energy center - joy

The work is supervised by the spirit of basketry, which for me is a symbol of wise use of natural resources. Its origins date back to the tradition cultivated in Kashubia, where wicker was used to protect the shores of lakes and houses against water and moisture. In the process of creating these unique objects, willow twigs keep the liquid hot glass in check, giving it a significant texture and making them vessels.
