Cindy is a Singaporean artist. Growing up in a small kampong in Malaysia, Cindy has loved the arts for as long
as she can remember. She recalls creating her very first oil painting when pregnant
with her first child, with the hope that this would inspire artistic talent in
her daughter. Thereafter, she continued to nurture a love for the arts in her 3
daughters, and has kept every art piece they created from their
childhood.

migrated to Singapore for her daughters’ education, and eventually became a
citizen. Cindy never had the time nor opportunity to pursue art till she had the chance to come under the mentorship of Mr Ren Jianhui, a disciple
of renowned master Mr Wu Guanzhong. His meticulous guidance aims to hone
incredible progress in developing individual styles and capabilities. This has
allowed her to experience the sheer magic of not just making art, but steering
her heart towards invention and eventually hoping to create works that are
uniquely her own.
Cindy believes she has
found her true calling in life, and that she will keep on creating art for the
rest of her life. Having majored in Geography from the University of Science in Malaysia with a B.A in Education (with Hons), she has an avid fascination with travelling around the world, observing various environments and the way people live. She has found that qigong, yoga and chinese metaphysics have
greatly enhanced her wellbeing and creativity, empowering her to focus
effectively on her artwork. Through her story and works, Cindy hopes to inspire
others that it’s never too late to chase your passion. When you follow
what lights a fire in your heart, you will find true joy and meaning in life.
