With more than twenty years of studio practice, her work is grounded in Jungian psychology, Gestalt theory, and a deep engagement with the metaphysical dimensions of color. She holds a diploma in Holistic Art and a degree in Metaphysics. After two decades of private practice, Withers began exhibiting publicly in 2026.
Color works ahead of the intellect, before the mind can process and assign meaning. Each painting unfolds through dialogue with the emerging work, the next step arriving before the question is fully formed, the medium following whatever the painting asks for in that moment, until the work hands itself over. She then refines analytically, maintaining its authenticity. The images are understood to arise from the collective unconscious.
The work is both autobiographical and universal. Recurring themes include making the invisible visible and an "I see you," what is felt but rarely named. Small scale business card series carry psychological and spiritual arcs in miniature. Larger works typically explore individual elements further.
Paintings are made to be in service. In addition to individual collectors, they are intended for public spaces, hospitals, corporate environments, and government buildings, where they can reach the largest number of people. Withers works across scales from intimate business card pieces to large diptychs, in acrylic paint, acrylic ink, and mixed media."
