Read MoreKent Watanabe (b. 1995, Takahashi, Okayama) graduated from the Graduate School of Keio University and lives and works in Tokyo. He creates large-scale installations that stretch threads, mesh, and membranes through the air, taking their form from each environment. Using drones as devices for spinning thread, he weaves lines into valleys and high places. His materials are entrusted to wind, light, gravity, and the people passing through, weaving new relations into the space. The work quietly intimates that life is not an isolated individual, but something held within countless relations. 渡邉顕人（1995年、岡山県高梁市生まれ）慶應義塾大学大学院を修了。東京を拠点に活動する。糸やメッシュ、膜を空中に張り渡し、環境に応じて姿を変える大規模なインスタレーションを制作する。ドローンを糸を紡ぐ装置として用いることで、谷や高所に糸編み込んでいく。素材は風や光、重力、行き交う人々に委ねられ、空間に新たな関係性を編んでいく。その仕事は、生命を独立した個体としてではなく、無数の関係の網のなかに在るものとして静かに示唆する。
