Hiroshi Wada is an artist based in Kyoto, Japan. Born in Iizuka, Fukuoka, he was raised in Kyoto, where he continues to live and work.He began studying Japanese calligraphy at the age of five and graduated from Kindai University. At the age of thirty, he began studying under Ryosetsu Imai. Wada was selected for the Nitten Exhibition, one of Japan’s most prestigious fine arts exhibitions, in 2011, 2012, and 2014. In 2017, he decided to pursue an artistic practice that transcends the traditional boundaries of calligraphy and to present his work to an international audience.
His work has been exhibited internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. It is held in private collections across multiple countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
