Born in 1972 near Vienna, Michaela Steinacher lives and works in Klausen-Leopoldsdorf, Austria. Art has always been a vital part of her life, even though her unconventional creative vision was initially met with resistance. After a personal turning point, she returned to art with renewed strength and authenticity.
Trained under Voka, the pioneer of Spontaneous Realism, Steinacher initially embraced this expressive style. Over time, she developed her own artistic language – Hybrid Realism – a unique fusion of precise painted portraiture on AI-generated backgrounds, and haptic elements like her rust-made symbol Entropia. Her works explore transformation, human responsibility, and the tension between inner and outer worlds.
Steinacher’s art has been exhibited in Austria, Germany, the USA, Italy, and Hungary, and is represented in private collections internationally.
She is nominated for the Berlin Visual Art Award 2025 in the category “Female Visionaries of Art.”
