Sânziana Gheorghe (b. 1997, Timișoara) is a Romanian visual artist who specializes in graphics, printmaking and installation. She graduated from the West University of Timișoara, Faculty of Art and Design in Graphics, Undergraduate in 2019 and M.A. in 2021. She is currently pursuing a Ph. D at the West University of Timișoara, Faculty of Art and Design in Visual Arts. The creative approach of the artist focuses on the visual relationship between order and disorder, as well as the figurative and abstract. From a conceptual point of view, the artist aims to evoke a meditative state in the viewer, as the projects are inspired by folklore, mythology, and the relationship between the micro and macro-cosmos. Regardless of the medium of choice, in her work, the free abstract (small) shapes are contrasted by and encased in (large) geometric shapes, thus symbolizing the relationship between the micro and macro-cosmos. As a result, the main structure is segmented into micro-structures, which become independent entities in between abstraction and personification.
