I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November 1978. My artistic training began in high school at Saint Andrew´s Scots School, where I took intensive drawing classes and A Level Fine Arts exams for Cambridge University in the UK during 1995 and 1996. Simultaneously I studied painting at the Regina Pacis School of Fine Arts in San Isidro. In 1997 I entered as a student at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón where I studied until 1998. Simultaneously I attend the private workshop of the master Carlos Uría to continue with my studies of figure drawing. As from 1998 I continue my fine arts studies at The Art Institute of Boston, USA, where I specialize in sculpture and painting. In 2000 I began my training in the trade of siversmithing in the town of Taxco, Mexico, initiating a research process in the art of working with non-ferrous metals. Since then and to date I have worked as a jewelry designer in a professional way. In 2003 I continued my training under the tutelage of maestro Hector Piri Spoltore in Buenos Aires, putting together various exhibitions in Argentina and abroad. In 2007 I settled in the town of San Javier y Yacanto, in the valley of Traslasierra, Córdoba, Argentina. During 2017 and 2018 I carried out studies in Molds, Dies and Devices at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional of Córdoba City. I am a wax modeler and caster in bronze, silver and gold, a professional jeweler, a teacher in wax modeling, centrifugal casting and chemical recovery processes of precious metals. I currently own and run a jewelry school and workshop called METALWORKS STUDIO, in the city of Villa Dolores, Cordoba. As a sculptor I am versatile but for the past four years have been centering my focus on the creator of pieces with wooden or metal rods o f squat section. These works are part of an ongoing series called “The Primitive Mirror” which is not only an artistic projects but rather an investigation into human nature, our interactions with our surroundings, and our inevitable strive towards survival. In this context I have also become an incipient writer. I have been working on a series of shorts stories and essays attempting to unfold ideas about creation and the processes that encompass out abilities to become creators. I live and work at the foot of the majestic mountains of the Comechingones in Córdoba, Argentina . In this framework I carry out my sculptural task in a daily basis, as a means of technical and philosophical inquiry. I am currently represented by two galleries in Argentina that carry my work and promote my artistic interactions, Tierra Arte Contemporanero and Atril 23. I have two children and a wonderful wife, Daniela Ramsfelder, who also develops as an artist.
