I'm Francesca Peveri on the ID Card, but everyone know my real name, Franco. As a non-binary person grown up in a very conservative Italian countryside like Castell'Arquato (PC), I can say that I have a kind of weird relationship with my dead name: I always knew that I wasn't a girl but, at the same time, I didn't feel like I was born in the wrong body.
At the beginning of my studies in art school in Piacenza I started questioning about my gender and I'm still trying to figure it out a lot of things about that sphere of my inner person by analyzing every single part of me through my works. When I decided to continue my Graphic Design studies in Amsterdam I found a way to express myself in digital art, specifically in glitch art. I find it attractive and chaotic and it's a very simple way to visual communicate the depths of my life.
In 2024 I decided to change completely the subject of my studies by signing up in an art education course because I wanted to see how little humans see the wold through their eyes, but I saw immediately that it wasn't the right way. I need time to think and create works that can explain the annoyance that I feel only by being alive.
As I already said, my works are a way to explain to other people what I really feel inside of me and to help people who had similar traumas as mine: sexual abuse, bereavements a lot of other gloomy events.
