Alida Peron is an Italian fashion designer of Burkinabé origin, born in 2001 in Burkina Faso and raised in the Veneto region. She currently lives between Vicenza and Milan.
From a young age, Alida has nurtured a deep connection with art and visual expression, considering them essential tools to tell her multiple identity and personal experience, shaped by adoption and the ongoing dialogue between different cultures.
She began her artistic path at the Liceo Artistico "Antonio Canova" in Vicenza, where she earned a diploma in Graphic Design. She then refined her creative vision in Milan, graduating in Fashion Design at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design)in December 2024.
During her academic years, she developed a particular sensitivity toward materials, especially those that can be manually shaped and transformed. This intimate relationship with materials guided her research, leading her to experiment with Bio-Leather, a sustainable, moldable, and highly expressive material. Initially used for her thesis project, bio-leather has since become the core of her artistic language.
Through fashion and material manipulation, Alida explores identity, bodily, and cultural themes, with particular attention to the tangibility of making in an era dominated by immateriality. Her approach combines craftsmanship, sustainability, and personal storytelling, translating her experience into forms, textures, and garments that tell deep, intimate, and contemporary stories.
Currently, Alida continues her creative journey as an emerging artist and independent designer, working on projects that merge fashion design, craftsmanship, and material experimentation.
