Born in Modena in 1979, she graduated in Philosophy and Visual Arts. After working for several years in the field of contemporary theatre, she developed her own path as a visual artist, which led her to exhibit in solo and group exhibitions, art fairs and receive numerous national and international prizes and awards. Her works are part of several important collections in Italy and abroad, both private and public.
Crossing different techniques, materials and expressive languages, Alice Padovani's research originates from the archetypes of wonder and repulsion. With a classificatory spirit similar to that of the neo-eighteenth century, she combines the spontaneity of the creative impulse with the rigour of the scientific method. Passing through installations, sculpture, drawings and performances in her works, she proposes fragments of a decontextualised nature and creates collections that are, at the same time, heaps and traces, where natural and personal memory merge.
